A Diamond in Our Eyes: The Sade Lowery Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in Music Education. Recipients must also demonstrate financial need and be members in good standing with an instrumental ensemble.
A Hand Up Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate or graduate students (master or doctorate level) who are in good standing at Tarleton State University, majoring in one of the following majors/areas of study: engineering, computer science, construction science or engineering technology, biological sciences, chemistry, physics, or mathematics, pre-nursing, nursing, nursing administration or nursing education, or criminal justice. First preference will be given to PELL grant eligible with second preference given to financial need.
AB Medlen Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a deserving full-time student in good standing with the university, majoring in biology and has completed 30 hours of university credit.
Ag. & Consumer Sciences Student Teacher Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to student teachers in Agriculture and Consumer Sciences with a 2.60 grade point average.
Agricultural Services & Development Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in the area of agricultural services and development, seeking initial certification through traditional coursework, demonstrating strong leadership skills, and an expressed interest in teaching. Preference will be given to an active member of the Tarleton Collegiate FFA chapter. The committee will take into consideration financial need and academic success.
Agriculture Career Development Endowed Scholarship
The Agriculture Career Development Scholarship was established in 2004, to recognize outstanding high school students, from around the state, who participated in annual judging contests.
Agriculture Contest Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to top ranking high school seniors participating in state level contests, including Dairy Foods, Pasture and Range, Forage Evaluation and Land Judging.
Alan Douglas Shores Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to Texas resident, full-time undergraduate students majoring in agricultural services and development, as a first preference, who demonstrate financial need. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Second preference will be given to Texas resident, full-time graduate students majoring in agricultural and consumer resources.
Alex Price & Ruby Fambro Scholarship in Agriculture
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in agriculture and participating in rodeo. For the agriculture portion, the recipient must be majoring in an area of agriculture, must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and maintain their major in the field of agriculture. For the rodeo portion, the recipient must satisfactorily participate as a member of the Tarleton Rodeo Association and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
Alex Price & Ruby Fambro Scholarship in Rodeo
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in agriculture and participating in rodeo. For the agriculture portion, the recipient must be majoring in an area of agriculture, must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, and maintain their major in the field of agriculture. For the rodeo portion, the recipient must satisfactorily participate as a member of the Tarleton Rodeo Association and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
Allen Cattle Management Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student from Bosque County, majoring in animal production, cattle management, or any related field at Tarleton State University that graduated from high school with high academic standing.
Allsup Family Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving students in good standing with the University.
Alpha Gamma Delta Epsilon Upsilon Alumnae Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to members of Alpha Gamma Delta in good standing who are full-time students.
Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student in good standing with the university that is an active member of Xi Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and exemplify the three cardinal principles of Alpha Phi Omega: friendship, leadership and services.
American Association of University Women Rosellen Davis Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a resident of Erath County or a contiguous county who is a non-traditional student, as defined by Tarleton State University. If a transfer student is awarded, the student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.70 or higher.
Ann Bulecza Petronis Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a deserving full-time student, seeking a degree in nursing, admitted into the Nursing Program, and maintaining a 2.75 or higher grade point average.
Annie Myrah Schuman Nursing
This scholarship will be given to a student in the Nursing Program at Tarleton State University without regard to age, sex, nationality, or race. The recipient must have a reasonable desire to serve their fellow man, must have successfully completed the first semester of the nursing curriculum, and demonstrate financial need.
ARAMark Food Service Scholarship
This scholarship was established to assist worthy students pursuing a career in dietetics or business. ARAMARK was a food service provider at Tarleton State University.
Arlie Brown Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a senior from a Texas high school or to a previous recipient, if the student maintains an average or above GPA at Tarleton State University.
Arrietta & Allan Babbitt & Carol & Charles McDonald Scholarship Fund
This scholarship will be given to full-time, undergraduate students enrolled in a major that, as defined by the University, falls into the category of a science, technology, mathematics, or medicine major. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average and demonstrate financial need.
Arthur J. & Beatrice Robinson Carter Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time nursing major, taking nursing degree-specific courses. First preference will be given to students from the McLennan County area. The recipient must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Ashley Beasley Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in interdisciplinary studies, planning to teach at the elementary level. The recipient should also be a Texas resident and a recent graduate of a Texas High School. It is desirable to have at least one parent that is or has been a classroom teacher.
Audie & Zera Floyd Educational Trust Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students that graduated from or attended De Leon High School for at least one year, or those who are currently employed in the De Leon ISD. Scholarships may be renewed for five years. There are no restrictions based on student type or attending hours. Recipients must be admitted to and/or in good standing at the University.
Ava and Jack Kenny Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate students in good standing who demonstate financial need.
Balfour Beatty Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student living in and participating in Tarleton State University's Living-Learning Communities.
Band Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students participating in band. Recipients shall be full-time students with a 2.50 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in music. Probation may be granted at the discretion of the department head.
This award is contingent on the following:
1, students must participate in the ensembles as assigned by the Director of Bands based on successful audition
2, all students must audition for the fall semester Wind Ensemble/Chamber Winds
3, applicable students must audition for Jazz Band
4, all students must participate in Marching Band (a students is only allowed to not participate if permission is granted by the Director of Bands)
5, active membership and satisfactory progress in assigned ensembles
6, no unexcused absences from any performance or rehearsal
By accepting this scholarship, students are also agreeing to the following:
1, I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to notify Tarleton State University if I accept any other offers prior to May 1 of the acceptance year.
2, I acknowledge that after May 1 of the acceptance year, I may not consider offers from other member schools of the Texas Association of Music Schools unless I obtain written consent from the Tarleton State University Department of Fine Arts.
3, In the event I am unable to fulfill all of the conditions stated above, I will forfeit my scholarship immediately. Repayment of forfeited scholarship money will be in accordance with current Tarleton State University policy.
Barbara Jean McKeage Endowed Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students admitted to the Nursing Program.
Barbara Jeanne Adams Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a high school graduate of Motley County I.S.D., Patton Springs I.S.D., or a high school in Dickens County, as a first preference. The recipient shall be a full-time student and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.
Barbara Lancaster Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in communications. Recipients must have a 2.75 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in communication courses.
Barry B. Thompson Science Education Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in one of the science disciplines with teacher certification.
Bea Marin Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student who has been admitted to the nursing program.
Ben and Nellie Baty Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a U.S. resident, a U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen, majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate strong academic performance. The recipient shall show leadership qualities, including participation in student activities and/or part-time employment, actively working to financially supplement their education in order to pursue his or her collegiate studies. Preference should be given first to ROTC students meeting the above criteria, then to other eligible students meeting required criteria.
Bernie and Lorraine Trice Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a high school graduate from Erath County or Hamilton County that is a full-time undergraduate student, Texas resident and a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen. The recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0, document financial need, and demonstrate leadership skills, community involvement, and moral character.
Betty and Paul Jones Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to full-time transfer students from Ranger College.
Betty Knudson Edgar Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in biology. If no qualified biology majors, then it can be awarded to any student majoring in a medical related field.
Bettye Ann and Gary Key Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to students with financial need with preference given to students who have attended the Morgan Mill, Texas school.
BG Brinegar Family "Lead the Way" Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, sophomore participating in the Corps of Cadets with a minimum grade point average of 2.8. Recipients must be seeking an undergraduate degree as well as a commission in the Armed Forces. Four and three year Army or Air Force ROTC Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply. The intent of this scholarship is to be used toward housing in the Tarleton Corps of Cadets Residential Living Hall.
Birdsong Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in agriculture (1st preference) or environmental engineering (2nd preference). If neither major exists or if there is not a qualified student, the scholarship may be available to all majors equally and it could be used for the Presidential Honors Program.
Bob & Zeta Wall Crews Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate student majoring in a field in the Department of Animal Sciences at Tarleton. The selection committee will set specific criteria regarding GPA, and minimum hours of enrollment.
Bob and Darla Doty Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students eligible to compete for Tarleton State University in National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association rodeos.
Bob Doty Animal Science Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a sophomore or higher animal science student in the business concentration with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. The scholarship will be awarded for the spring semester.
Bob Hallmark Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding graduate students who are enrolled at least three-quarter time (6 hrs.).
Bobby Fox Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a Tarleton State University track athlete with outstanding leadership and athletic ability.
Bobby Mabery Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to needy students, that graduated from Granbury High School, who are in the Teacher Education Program.
Bosque River Water Association Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in hydrology & water resources. The recipient must be a Texas resident, a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen, demonstrate financial need and maintain a 3.00 current semester and overall grade point average. If no suitable applicant, preference may be given to a student pursuing a degree in earth science.
Bouquet and Jeske Families Business Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time students majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business with first preference to general business (or equivalent major), second preference to management majors. Recipients must be in good standing with the University and maintain a job and work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Bret Hull Memorial Scholarships
This scholarship will be given to an incoming freshman from Jack County involved in FFA and majoring in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Brett Spindor Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity that demonstrates leadership abilities in the school and community, demonstrates moral character, and is a Texas resident. Academic record is considered in the selection process.
Brian Iley Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate student(s) majoring in a medical related field preference given to pre-nursing or nursing majors with an overall GPA of at least 2.5. Preference will be given to a student or students who demonstrate leadership through school and community service. Preference will also be given to those students who indicate they have achieved the Eagle Scout Award through the Boy Scouts of America or the Gold Award through the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Bryan and Carrie Bierschwale Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to junior or senior level students majoring in agriculture with a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
Bryan Bray Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students eligible to compete for Tarleton State University in National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association rodeos.
Buddy Bills Family Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a full-time undergraduate student that graduated from a high school in one of the following counties: Erath, Comanche, Hamilton, Bosque, Somervell, Hood, Palo Pinto, or Eastland. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
C A Wisdom Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded based on music performance. Recipients must maintain a 2.50 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in music. Active membership and satisfactory progress in appropriate department selected courses and selected instrumental ensembles are required. No more than three absences per semester from rehearsals are allowed.
C J "Red" Davidson Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to worthy students in need of an education, renewed yearly for four years or until bachelor�s degree is complete. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 overall and TSU GPA.
C. M. "Dutch" Flory Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an undergraduate exercise and sports studies major that is active in P.E. activities and/or professional P.E. organizations with a minimum of 24 hours completed at Tarleton, an overall GPA of 3.0 with degree programming leading toward teacher certification and shows evidence of outstanding citizenship, leadership, and moral character.
C. Richard King Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a journalism major demonstrating a need for financial assistance in order to be able to pursue his or her collegiate studies.
Caden Coltharp Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to one female and one male member of the Tarleton Rodeo Team. The recipients must be full-time students with 30 or more hours and have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
Cadet Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to active members of the Texan Corps of Cadets, that are full-time students, in good standing as determined by the Commandant and/or staff.
Cameron Gomez Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business pursuing classes on either the Stephenville or Waco campus only. The recipients must have a 2.5 or higher overall grade point average and be from a single parent household or be a single parent with a child under 18 and must exhibit financial need. The scholarship shall be awarded to two or more recipients each year and at least one must be enrolled on the Waco campus and one on the Stephenville Campus.
Carl & Shiryn Gabbard Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a graduate student(s) in Kinesiology studying Exercise Science, engaged in a current research agenda with a faculty member in Kinesiology which is expected to result in a presentation or publication at a state, regional or national level.
Carolyn Lesley Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to graduate students that have a Texas teacher certification who are pursuing a Master of Science degree in kinesiology or a Master of Science degree in the Department of Counseling. Recipients must be enrolled in classes on the Stephenville campus or online.
Carroll & Leta Barham Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student maintaining a 3.00 current semester GPA and overall GPA.
Cecil Ballow Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student with a 3.0 GPA demonstrating leadership qualities.
Center Stage Scholarship
This scholarship is given based on music or theatre performance. Recipients must have a GPA of 2.75 overall and 3.0 in major (MUSC/THEA). Recipients must remain full-time students during the duration of the award and be active in appropriate department performances. Recipients must attend and/or perform during programs featuring Center Stage Performance Scholars during the school year.
Charles Ann Wylie Martin Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student, pursuing a degree in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. The recipient or parent(s) must be from Erath County and be in good standing with the University.
Charles H. Hale Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an outstanding student(s) majoring in education or seeking certification in secondary education.
Charles W. Lucille Froh Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time, undergraduate students majoring in music (piano emphasis). Recipients must complete a successful piano audition, enroll in applied piano lessons, enroll in and make satisfactory progress in piano ensemble (if required by the piano professor), and be active in appropriate department performance opportunities. Recipients must also maintain a 3.0 GPA in all music courses, a 2.8 GPA overall, and maintain exemplary attendance and participation record in music classes and music major requirements.
Charlotte Han Sharp Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students from the College who raises the most money on Giving Day. Recipients must graduate from a Texas High School and be in good standing with the University.
Cheryl Spellmeier Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will given to full-time football student athletes with a 2.25 or higher grade point average in good standing with the University who demonstrate financial need.
Childers Family Criminal Justice Leadership Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time criminal justice major with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. The recipient must also maintain a 3.2 or higher grade point average for criminal justice courses and be involved in leadership experiences through service to others such as volunteer/charity work, student government, ROTC, athletics, etc.
Chilton Family Scholarship in CIS
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in computer information systems that is deserving of assistance, as judged by the Chairperson of the Department of Computer Information Systems.
Choir Scholarship
This scholarship is given to undergraduate, full-time students based on music performance. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA in music courses and a 2.5 overall and current semester GPA. Recipients must be active members in Chamber Choir, University Singers or Women's Ensemble and have satisfactory progress in ensembles.
Chris Cain Memorial Plowboy Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an active member of the Plowboy Organization who is in good standing with the University.
Christian & Nancy Phillips Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student/cadet who has displayed outstanding leadership qualities with the Texan Corp of Cadets and has completed the sophomore year with plans to continue at Tarleton as either a Texan Leaders or ROTC cadet. The recipient must exhibit the need for financial assistance, be in good standing with the University, and be a member of the Tarleton State University Corps of Cadets located in Stephenville, Texas. First preference will be given to a student participating in the Wainwright Rifles drill team.
Christy West Scholarship Fund for Teachers
This scholarship will be given to a person demonstrating a commitment to the teaching profession who is admitted to the Teacher Education Program and demonstrates financial need.
Cindy Bicket Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a non-traditional nursing student demonstrating financial need.
Class of 2014 Agribusiness Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students demonstrating financial need with a 2.5 overall grade point average. First preference will be given to members of the Agribusiness Club and second preference will be given to any agriculture student, including graduate students.
Clifton J. Morvant Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student teaching participant in the Department of Agricultural Services and Development demonstrating financial need, leadership abilities in school and in the community and moral character.
Clinical Laboratory Science Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a clinical laboratory sciences major (now MLS) based on academic merit.
Clinton Smith, Clint Stewart and John Christie Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students demonstrating financial need and are in good standing with the University. Recipient must have a 2.50 or higher grade point average.
Clyde Wells Fine Arts Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in art, music or theatre. Recipients must maintain a 2.50 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in major courses.
Coach Ronnie Giles Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a sophomore, junior or senior level student athlete enrolled in summer sessions at Tarleton State University. The recipient must be an active offensive lineman on the Tarleton State University football team.
COAHS (now COAES) Deans Dev. Fund Hilley
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate and graduate students for recruitment and retention in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Col. Charles Leigon Endowed Scholarship in Nursing
This scholarship will be given to full-time students pursuing a degree in nursing who are in good standing with the university.
Col. Ray & Pat Yantis ROTC Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student in good standing with the university that is an active participant and in good standing in Tarleton's ROTC program demonstrating strong leadership skills.
Col.Charles Leigon Texan Corps of Cadets Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to members of the Texan Corps of Cadets with a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average who are seeking a degree in any area of study within the College of Liberal and Fine Arts.
College of Agriculture & Human Sciences (now COANR) Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student, a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen, majoring in agriculture. Recipients must maintain a 2.75 GPA, be a participant on the livestock or meats judging teams, enroll in one three or four hour agriculture course, provide a short bio-sketch with two wallet size color pictures and serve as a College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Ambassador.
College of Business Administration Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate student with a 3.0 overall GPA majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. The recipient(s) must have completed at least 12 hours of college credit at Tarleton State University.
College of Business Administration Study Abroad Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing with the university (2.0 or higher GPA), registered in a study abroad class offered by Tarleton State University's Dr. Sam Pack College of Business.
College of Education Outstanding Dissertation Award
This award will be given to a doctoral student within the College of Education. Recipients must be in their final semester and have defended their dissertation. This award is based on merit rather than need.
College of Graduate Studies Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduate or doctoral students that have full admission to the College of Graduate Studies. Recipients must be enrolled in at least six semester credit hours and maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
College of Liberal & Fine Arts Dean's Circle Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving full-time students majoring in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA and be able to attend Dean's Circle receptions as requested.
Comanche County Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students that are graduates of any high school in Comanche County, demonstrating financial need in order to pursue his or her collegiate studies, a strong desire and commitment to pursue a college degree and having work experience. Recipient must also show a record of active participation in extra-curricular activities if physically able to do so.
Community College Bridge Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to first-time transfer students from a community college with an associate degree or 60 transferable hours, an overall GPA for all transfer work of at least a 2.5 and full-time status.
Cooper McCarty Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time students in good standing. Recipients must be graduates of De Leon, Texas High School.
Cora Rohne Goodman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student pursuing a degree in nursing. The scholarship award is to be made upon the basis of total personality, financial need, and academic successes. For high school graduates, the recipient(s) must meet Tarleton's minimum admissions requirements for "regular" admission and demonstrate scholastic ability.
Coy L. Watson Class of 1939 Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in geoscience or agriculture, demonstrating financial need but not necessarily from FAFSA, with preference given to students who are graduates of a high school located in Young County, Texas or the surrounding area. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
Cross Plains Garden Club Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student from Cross Plains High School, with first preference toward a Callahan County resident.
Cross Timbers School Development Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students that graduate from a high school with membership in the Cross Timbers School Development Council. Recipients must have a B average while in high school and be a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen.
Crystal Apple Society Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to doctoral, graduate, or undergraduate students in the College of Education that are in good standing in the academic program and are recommended by the respective Department Head. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
Curly Tail Panther Studio Student Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to incoming freshman who plan to pursue a degree in visual arts, visual art education or visual art history. Recipients must be driven in pursuit of artistic excellence and must maintain a 2.75 grade point average.
Curtis Meeks Upward Bound Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the Upward Bound Project at Tarleton State University or a student who has completed the Bridge Program of the Tarleton State University Upward Bound Project demonstrating financial need. The recipient must be an undergraduate full-time student at Tarleton State University. Former Upward Bound participants are eligible to reapply as long a 2.5 GPA has been maintained in the preceding semester.
Dalton Reese Lopez Memorial Plowboy Scholarship
This scholarship will be given a sophomore member of the Plowboy organization that exhibits the qualities of Dalton as a leader, mentor and friend. The award will be $500 awarded annually in October for the spring semester.
Dan and Geneva Fender Family Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a Tarleton student who previously lived in the foster care system, with preference to those who lived under the care of the Sherwood and Myrtie Foster's Home for Children.
Dan B. McMillin Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time or part-time masters student enrolled in a program seeking a degree in a field of study related to the recipient's teaching assignment. The recipient must be employed by a Texas public school district.
Dan Shepherd Memorial Endowed Sch
This scholarship will be given to full-time students participating in golf at Tarleton State University. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
Daniel Jones "Bleed Purple" Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a male or female non-music major participating in athletic pep bands. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and be a deserving full-time or part-time student in good standing with the University. The recipient must also have a positive impact on the Tarleton Athletic Band program, its members and beyond. The ideal candidate will contagiously Bleed Purple in such a manner that others are compelled to join in.
Daniel Jones "Never Give Up" Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time kinesiology majors not currently on athletic scholarship who demonstrate financial need and are in good standing with the University. The recipient should be coachable and open to feedback on ways to succeed and never give up on him/herself. The recipient should be a visible advocate of the importance of taking care of one's own personal health and wellness. The recipient must submit a personal statement explaining their why for their education.
Daniel Jones Delta Chi Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an active member of the Delta Chi Fraternity for the applying semester. The recipient must have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.85, be an initiated and active member of Delta Chi Fraternity, and be involved in at least one other organization on campus. Applicants must submit a 600-word essay with a letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member. The essay should explain in detail why the applicants feels they best qualify for the scholarship, how the applicant lives out the Delta Chi Charter and addresses life and the fraternity in a way consistent with the scholarship's namesake.
Daniel Parker Herd Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded based on academic record, leadership abilities in school and the community, moral character, rodeo skills and talents with preference to be given to team ropers.
Danny Jenkins Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Hico High School demonstrating leadership abilities in the school and community, moral character, and a record of good citizenship. The recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 2.5 and display satisfactory citizenship and academic record.
David & Debbie Stanphill Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students pursuing a degree and fulfilling the pre-dental, pre-medical requirements or majoring in nursing at Tarleton State University with at least 30 semester credit hours at Tarleton and a 3.0 overall GPA for nursing majors or a 3.2 overall GPA for pre-dental and pre-medicine majors. Preference will be given to students from Erath, Bosque, or Comanche counties.
David Hooks Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students with a 2.5 or higher grade point average demonstrating financial need. First preference will be given to student workers in the Thompson Student Center Facilities and Events department. Second preference will be given to student workers in the Division of Student Affairs.
David Riggins Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a theatre major maintaining full-time student status with a 2.50 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in theatre courses. Active membership in all department productions, in either acting or crews, is required along with a continual physical presence, willingness to work, and satisfactory progress in Theatre.
Davidson Presidential Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students at Tarleton State University. Recipients must maintain a 2.75 overall GPA and maintain full-time student status (six hours for doctoral students, nine hours for graduate students, and twelve hours for undergraduate students during the long semesters). Incoming freshmen must have a 23 or higher ACT or a 1000 or higher SAT/1080 or higher New SAT (math and verbal) and typically top quarter ranking. Allowing new first time students to be considered without SAT/ACT scores since Tarleton is test optional with high holistic review scores.
Dawson & Blanchard Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a worthy industrial education & technology student. This scholarship requires you to maintain and complete full-time student status at Tarleton (twelve semester hours), maintain undergraduate status, major in industrial technology or manufacturing engineering technology, enroll in at least 6 hours of IT courses, and maintain a 3.00 current semester and overall grade point average. Incoming freshman must have a high school GPA of B or higher and an SAT of at least 1000 (math and verbal)/New SAT 1080 or ACT of 22 composite or higher.
De Leon Ex-Student Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduates of De Leon High School demonstrating reasonable financial need (based on committee determination). Recipients must enroll as full-time students at Tarleton State University.
Dean & Gloria Taylor/Kwik Kar Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in any degree program offered by the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources and displaying financial need. Recipients must have graduated from a high school in Erath County or bordering counties.
Deanna Supercinski & Janna Walker Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to students at Tarleton State University pursuing a degree in general human sciences or equivalent field with teacher certification. Recipients must maintain an overall 2.5 GPA and a 2.75 GPA each semester in human sciences.
Deans' Academic (SA) Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding students identified during the recruiting process. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and NEW SAT scores of 1170 or higher (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 25 or higher composite for majors in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the Mayfield College of Engineering, and the College of Science and Mathematics. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and NEW SAT scores of 1080 or higher (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 23 or higher composite for the College of Education and the College of Business. Recipients must also demonstrate financial need and be Texas residents. This is a one-time only award.
Deans' Academic Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding students identified during the recruiting process. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and SAT scores of 1170 or higher (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 25 or higher composite for majors in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, the Mayfield College of Engineering, and the College of Science and Mathematics. Recipients must have high school top quarter ranking and SAT scores of 1080 or higher (verbal and math) or ACT scores of 23 or higher composite for the College of Education and the College of Business. This is a one-time only award.
Dean's Engineering Excellence Award
This scholarship will be used to recruit or retain students for the Mayfield College of Engineering. Recipients must be full-time students pursuing a major within the Mayfield College of Engineering at the Stephenville, Fort Worth or RELLIS campuses and must remain in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students from Erath and Jones counties, but can be awarded at the Dean's discretion. This scholarship can be awarded in excess of the annual award limit cap for Tarleton State University.
Delta Zeta Dean Alice Matthews-Craig Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an active member of Delta Zeta. The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate good character through Delta Zeta's philanthropic endeavors and demonstrate leadership qualities within the chapter as well as on campus.

This scholarship will be given to students majoring in graduate programs in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts. New graduate students must have a 3.2 undergraduate GPA for consideration. Returning graduate students must have a 3.5 graduate GPA. All recipients must enroll in at least six hours of graduate work per semester.

This scholarship will be given to incoming freshmen majoring in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts ranked in the top 25% percent of their high school class (for schools that rank) with a minimum SAT 1410 or higher total (math and verbal) or higher or ACT composite 30 or higher. Recipients must maintain a 3.2 cumulative and current semester GPA and complete 15 hours per semester for continued funding. This scholarship is renewable for four years if qualifications continue to be met for the award.

This scholarship will be given to senior students majoring in geoscience, environmental science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering. Recipients must have senior classification and interested in working in the oil/gas industry.
Dominic and Lisette Dottavio Student Success Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students classified as sophomores or higher, including graduate students, enrolled at Tarleton State University. Recipients must also be in good standing with the university.
Donald & Bettejoe Pendleton Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in agronomy and/or range management. Recipients must be full-time students with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Incoming students must have a minimum ACT of 24 or minimum of 1170 New SAT (math and verbal). Recipients must also submit a completed Financial Aid Form for consideration.
Donald & Dahlee Morton Endowed Piano Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students with a declared piano major after a successful piano audition. Recipients must remain enrolled in applied piano lessons, and be enrolled and making satisfactory progress in piano ensemble. Recipients must also maintain a 3.0 GPA in all music courses taken and a 2.8 overall GPA. The recipient must be active in appropriate department performance opportunities, and will be expected to maintain an exemplary attendance and participation record in music classes and music major requirements.
Donald Cawley Social Work Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students accepted into the Social Work Program. First preference will be given to students at the Tarleton Waco Outreach Location in good standing. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average and demonstrate financial need.
Donald T. Pendleton Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate or graduate students majoring in range management (also known as ecosystem sciences) who are in good standing with the University.
Donald W. Morton Music Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time music major. Recipients must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 and a 3.0 GPA in music courses. Active membership and satisfactory progress in marching band and selected instrumental ensembles is required.
Dorris and Grady Perry Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students with junior or senior classification, majoring in a business related field within the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business, with a demonstrated respect for the Government, a willingness to help others. Recipients should have a middle B grade average or below during the freshman and sophomore year. Award is not to be given on the basis of need or academic achievements.
Doss Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving full-time junior, senior, or graduate level students from Brown, Eastland, Comanche or Erath County with financial need (preferred). The recipients must major in the College of Business Administration, with preference given to finance or accounting majors, and have a 2.75 overall grade point average.
Doug Smith Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students participating in Tarleton State University ROTC, Corps of Cadet, or Student Government majoring in agriculture.
Douglas B. Pair Pre-Pharmacy Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students taking courses to support admission to a Pharm. D. program who demonstrate financial need. Recipients must maintain full-time student status and have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

This scholarship will be given to a second semester student in the Masters in Counseling Program. The recipient must have earned a 4.0 grade point average in the first semester of the Masters in Counseling Program and received full admittance to the Program.

This scholarship will be given to non-traditional students. First preference will be given to students majoring in English, Biology or Pre-Med. Second preference will be given to non-traditional students with financial need.

Dr. Christopher Hepburn Music History Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student in good academic standing, as defined by the program, who is interested in and shows promise for the study of music history. Preference will be given to students who have completed the first two semesters of the traditional music history survey, are planning to further their connections with music either through future academic study or career, and demonstrate willingness to encourage their junior classmates in the study, appreciation, and interests of music history. The scholarship shall be awarded to the Outstanding Music History Student at the annual Honors Recital. This scholarship shall benefit all Tarleton degree-seeking music students regardless of race, creed, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.
Dr. David Weissenburger Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student in the College of Health Sciences. The recipient must have a 3.2 or higher grade point average.
Dr. Dennis P. McCabe Student Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship is given to students for achievement in the classroom, leadership on campus, financial need, and field experience. To apply for this scholarship, students must have completed 12 hours at TSU. Recipients must be full-time students and have a 2.40 GPA for the leadership, need-based and field experience options. Recipients must be full-time students and have a 3.0 GPA for the scholastic option. Recipients in the need-based option must show financial need but not be eligible for the PELL grant. Academic, need-based and scholastic awards are $500 per semester. Field experience or internship awards are $1,000 during the semester the internship or field experience is conducted.

This scholarship will be given to non-traditional undergraduate students with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher with a declared major in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business, including but not limited to general business. Recipients must be Texas residents. Part-time students are eligible.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate or graduate student, in good academic standing, that is majoring in an agricultural field. First preference will be given to students from Tolar, Texas, hometown of Dr. Samuel E. Curl.

This scholarship is given to a graduate student majoring in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in reading that is fully admitted to the College of Graduate Studies with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The recipient must also be a Texas Certified Teacher.

This scholarship will be given to junior or senior students majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. Recipients must have a minimum of 15 hours from Tarleton State University and have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

This scholarship will be given to first generation college students of high ability majoring in a STEM bachelor's degree program offered by the following departments: Biological Sciences; Chemistry Geosciences, and Physics; Mathematics; Computer Science & Electrical Engineering; Mechanical, Environmental, and Civil Engineering; Engineering Technology; Medical Laboratory Sciences, Public Health, and Nutrition Science; Nursing; or other STEM majors. Drucilla Eberhart George Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a graduate from one of the Coleman County High Schools demonstrating good academic performance. The committee will give primary consideration to a student with need of financial assistance, satisfactory citizenship, high moral character, and a desire for a college education.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time student attending Tarleton State University at the Stephenville Campus.
E. J. Howell Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student demonstrating financial need. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA. A student can qualify for the scholarship for a maximum of 10 semesters.

This scholarship will be given to a geology or earth science major. The recipient must maintain a 2.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in science. The committee will also consider academic performance, extra curricular activities, and financial need.

This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in physical education (kinesiology). The recipient must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Ed Knoll Service Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students with 60 or more credit hours with at least a 2.5 grade point average who are employed in the Division of Student Affairs at Tarleton State University. Applicants must submit a paragraph describing ways in which s/he has helped other people through volunteer service while at Tarleton State University.
Edwin D & Welba Dorsey Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (S.T.E.M.). The recipient must be classified as a junior, senior or graduate level student who demonstrate a need for financial assistance in order to be able to pursue his or her collegiate studies. The recipient must be a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen.
Eleanor Golding Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a female track athlete who has a 3.0 GPA in high school or a 2.25 cumulative college GPA. The recipient must be a full-time student, in good standing with the university and must demonstrate a need for financial assistance to pursue her collegiate studies.

This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time graduate students studying mathematics education. Recipients must be in good standing with the University.
Emily Evans Roberson Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in manufacturing engineering technology or mechanical engineering technology, with preference given to manufacturing engineering technology majors.

Encouraging Graduate Academic Progress Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduate students. Recipients must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average.
Engineering Technology Founders Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in an Engineering Technology program, with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and enrolled in at least one class in the Engineering Technology Program.
Engineering/COST (now MCOE) Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in engineering or programs in the Mayfield College of Engineering. Incoming students must be in the top half of their high school class and have an SAT of 1080 or higher or ACT or 23 or higher. Returning or transfer students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
English and Languages Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in English. Undergraduate students must enrolled in at least 12 hours. Graduate students must enrolled in a minimum of six hours.
Erath County Association of Retired School Employees Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students who graduated from an Erath County high school that have been accepted into Tarleton State University's teacher education program. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
Ethel Lewallen Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in art with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Scholarship can be renewed for a maximum of five years. All applicants must complete the Financial Aid Form (FAFSA) to be considered for the scholarship.

This scholarship will be given to full-time, needy students who are not PELL eligible. Recipients must maintain a 2.75 grade point average.

This scholarship will be given to a member of the Tarleton State University Corps of Cadets. The recipient must be in good standing with the University and be a student-cadet in either the Texan Leader or ROTC track with first preference to a student who participated in the Granbury ISD JROTC.
Flora Foust Graduate Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding graduate students that have full admission to the College of Graduate Studies. Recipients must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Frances Fenner Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a deserving undergraduate student majoring in business.
Francine Esposito Pratt Social Work Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student accepted into the Social Work Program. First preference will be given to an undergraduate student in good standing. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average and demonstrate financial need.
Freshman Sprint Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding incoming freshman with at least eighteen dual credit/AP hours and a minimum 3.25 grade point average on twelve hours. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average and must maintain and complete full-time enrollment. This scholarship is renewable for four years.
Friends of the Dick Smith Library Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students currently employed at the Dick Smith Library. Recipients must be in good standing with the University, maintain a 2.75 or higher GPA, and have worked two long semesters at the Library prior to submitting the scholarship application. Semesters worked do not need to be consecutive.
Garry Lewellen Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to junior or senior level students majoring in Political Science, English, Social Services, Criminal Justice or Law related majors.
Gary & Judy Spindor Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a first degree-seeking, undergraduate student, full-time or part-time, in good standing with the University. The recipient must major in one of the following fields of study: Business, Health-related sciences, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Education, Mathematics, or Science and must have graduated from a high school in the State of Texas. Preference is given to a first-generation college student and/or a student who has lived in the foster care system. Preference is also given to a student who is need based.
Gary Wayne Brannon Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time undergraduate student with at least a sophomore status who is an initiated brother of Kappa Delta Rho for at least one year and one year involvement with Zeta Beta. The recipient must be in good standing with Zeta Beta with a minimum GPA of 2.25 the previous semester and a 2.5 cumulative GPA. The recipient's overall activity within Zeta Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta Rho, Tarleton State University, and the local community will be looked at for selection. The recipient must show gentlemanly conduct in and outside of Tarleton State University.
Gaylene E. and James T. Nunn Jr. Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to junior or senior level students majoring in the Dr. Sam Pack College of College of Business with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. First preference given to students majoring in Management.
Gene Morrison Legacy Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students in the Mayfield College of Engineering. First preference will be given to students majoring in construction science or electrical engineering .
General Studies Upward Bound Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student recommended by Upward Bound staff and not eligible for the Texas Tuition Guarantee program. The recipient must also have participated in the Tarleton State University Upward Bound Program for four years during high school.
George Martin Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, Texas resident student majoring in an area of agriculture with junior or senior status demonstrating financial need.
George Taylor & Bonnie Lou Irvin Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to part-time or full-time students with at least a 2.5 or higher grade point average. Recipients must be needy but not PELL grant eligible based on the student's federal aid application. No more than 15% of the fund can be given to part-time students each year.
George Wiedebusch Chemistry Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a chemistry major in good standing with the university.
Gifford Family Veterans Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student who had Active Duty service to any branch of the United States military with honorable or medical discharge. Recipients must have sophomore or above classification with a 2.5 or higher grade point average and be active in the promotion of veterans.
Gilbert Ward Memorial Hydrology/Hydraulics Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in environmental engineering, geosciences, civil engineering, or environmental science: water and land quality. Recipients must be deserving undergraduate or graduate students in good standing with the University, maintain a minimum 2.8 grade point average, and have the desire to pursue a career in the field of hydraulics and hydrology.
Gladys Hale Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a human sciences major (child and family studies or fashion) demonstrating financial need.
Glenda Anderson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in computer information systems.
Golden Family Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student involved in two or more organization activities recognized by the Office of Student Activities at Tarleton State University. The recipient must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and earned a minimum of 30 credit hours at Tarleton State University. Primary preference shall be given to graduates of Clifton High School and if no graduates of Clifton High School apply, then preference shall be given to high school graduates from any other school district in Bosque County. In the event that no qualified applicant is a graduate of Clifton High School or any other school district in Bosque County, the scholarship may be awarded to any Tarleton State University student meeting each of the foregoing eligibility criteria. In the event an initiated member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity satisfies each of the foregoing eligibility criteria, then preference shall be given to such applicant.
Goodlett-Hensarling Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time, undergraduate students interested in agriculture. The recipients must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Grace Lyon/Dublin Dr. Pepper Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate and graduate students majoring in business. Recipients must maintain a 3.00 overall grade point average. The selection committee may also consider test scores, student essays, and number of hours completed.
Graduate Fine Arts Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding students enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester in the Master of Music in Music Education degree program. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA. First-time graduate students must have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
Granbury Wine Walk Fine Arts Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a Hood County resident who is a full-time fine arts major.
Greek Academic Leadership Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a member of a recognized Greek letter organization, including current North American Interfraternity Council, National Panhellenic Conference, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inter Greek Council or similar organization that is recognized as Greek according to Tarleton's current standards. Recipients must be in good standing with the organization and the organization must be in good standing with the University. Preference is given to students who are active in the Honors Core. Recipients must have and maintain a 3.0 or higher Tarleton grade point average.
Gregory Nowlin Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to incoming students ranked in the top 25% of their high school class with an ACT composite of 25 or higher or a SAT total (math and verbal) 1170 or higher. Returning students must enroll in and complete 15 semester hours and maintain a 3.2 cumulative and semester GPA.
Gregory Nowlin Scholarship - Fort Worth ISD Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduates of a Fort Worth ISD High School. Recipients must maintain and complete twelve semester hours at Tarleton each long semester, maintain undergraduate status, and maintain a 3.0 current semester and overall grade point average. Incoming freshmen must be in the top quarter of their high school class (or equivalent, if the high school does not rank). This scholarship is renewable for four years and is valued at $10,000 per year.
Guy Andrews Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate student majoring in agriculture who is a Texas resident. The recipient must also have 30 or more credit hours at Tarleton, demonstrate financial need and be a graduate of a class 1A or equivalent high school.
H.H. Hassler Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student at Tarleton pursuing a degree in agriculture with an emphasis in horse production and management. The recipient must also show academic performance, be active in extra curricular activities and must express financial need.
Hal & Winnie Wright Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a deserving, undergraduate student. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student.
Hal McAfee Memorial Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a Tarleton football player. First preference will be given to players with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Harold and Betty Freeman Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in education. The recipient must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Harold D. Nix Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in a degree within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources with at least a 2.5 GPA.
Harris Methodist Hospital Endowed Scholarship in Sports Medicine
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student pursuing a Texas state issued license in athletic training and/or physical therapy.
Harva Kuykendall Endowed
This scholarship will be given to students, in good standing, who graduated from a high school in Jack County with preference to those from Jacksboro High School. First preference will be given to students majoring in the College of Business Administration and second preference to those in the College of Education. Recipients can be undergraduate or graduate level students with undergraduates receiving preference.
Henry Hohenberger Endowment - Ag Mechanics Teaching Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate, agriculture majors pursuing a degree that will lead to teacher certification who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching Agricultural Mechanics. Recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Herb Teat Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a music major in vocal performance. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA in music courses, a 2.50 overall GPA and maintain active membership and satisfactory progress in selected vocal ensembles.
Herbert H. Jarrett Social Work Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student accepted into the Social Work Program. The recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and junior or senior classification. Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need.
High-Performance Computing Graduate Research Fellowship in Mathematics
This fellowship will be given to a graduate student in good standing in the Department of Mathematics. The recipient must have experience in High-Performance Computing modeling using cuda.
Hohenberger Agricultural Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources first preference will be given to students from Marble Fall, then Burnet County and third preference to students from Blanco County. Recipients must be full-time students with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Honest John Rogers Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in the area of industrial technology or mechanical engineering technology with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Honors College Alumni Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time participants in the Honors College. To be eligible for this scholarship to be renewed, students must maintain a 3.0 Tarleton grade point average.
Honors Degree Program (SA) Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students participating in the Honors College at TSU. Recipients must be members of the Honors College, maintain full-time student status, a 3.20 overall TSU grade point average and a 3.0 in honors courses. Recipients must be Texas residents and have financial need.

Horak Family Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a student participating in a Tarleton band ensemble. First preference will be given to a graduate of Clifton High School who participated in band. Second preference will be given to a graduate of a Bosque County, Texas high school who participated in band.
Hosey-Whitman Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students having been involved in FFA and graduating in the top 25% of his/her high school class from Lamar Consolidated ISD.
Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in an agriculture field at TSU. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, be a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen, Texas resident, enroll as a full-time student, maintain a 2.0 GPA each semester and a 2.0 overall GPA. Students receiving this scholarship must receive no other support from Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Howard Nance Chemical Society Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in the College of Science and Mathematics, preference given to those with a major then minor in chemistry, and who has completed at least 16 semester credit hours in chemistry and has taken or is enrolled in an upper level chemistry course. The recipient must be an active member of the Tarleton Chemical Society.
Hunewell Band Scholarship
This scholarship will be given based on music performance. Recipients must be full-time students with a 2.50 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in music. This award is contingent on the following: 1, students must participate in the ensembles as assigned by the Director of Bands based on successful audition 2, all students must audition for the fall semester Wind Ensemble/Chamber Winds 3, applicable students must audition for Jazz Band 4, all students must participate in Marching Band (a students is only allowed to not participate if permission is granted by the Director of Bands) 5, active membership and satisfactory progress in assigned ensembles 6, no unexcused absences from any performance or rehearsal.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in engineering technology. The recipient must also be a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen and demonstrate strong academic leadership skills.
James H. & Betty Tally Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a graduate of any public high school in Taylor County, Texas, who has demonstrated a need for financial assistance in order to be able to pursue his or her collegiate studies. This scholarship will be given to undergraduate students majoring in the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources with preference given to members of the Tarleton Corp of Cadets.
John Caraway Music Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time, undergraduate students majoring in music (voice or instrument) at Tarleton State University. Recipients must have maintained at least a B average in high school to qualify for the award and pass all required courses.

John Garner Memorial Mathematics Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time, undergraduate or graduate students majoring in mathematics. First preference will be given to a student from a single-parent household and/or non-traditional student.
John Mitchell Moore Endowed Scholarship in Nursing
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in nursing with at least a 3.5 GPA. First priority will be given to students from Erath County; however, if there is no such student from Erath County, then the award may be given to any student meeting the criteria.
John S. Chapin Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in agriculture. This award is based on academic achievement.
John Tarleton Class of 1948 Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student with a sophomore classification or above, demonstrating financial need and maintaining a 2.5 GPA or above. Recipient must be a student of good report with the student code of conduct guides for the university.
John Tarleton Leadership Academy (JTLA) Scholarship
This scholarship will given to full-time students enrolled in at least one course offered by the Department of Leadership & Strategic Studies, with no unexcused absences and no more than three excused absences per semester. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 semester and overall grade point average and demonstrate excellent leadership qualities.
John Tarleton Ranching Heritage Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students researching any aspect of ranching in Texas with preference given to a history major.
Johnny Johnson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to seniors in their last semester enrolled in six hours of internship or student teaching majoring in extension/industry or teacher certification concentration in the Department of Agricultural Services and Development.
Johnson County Master Gardener Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in horticulture who is in good standing with the university. Students from Johnson County will be given first preference.
Josephine Garrett Donaldson Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in human sciences. Recipients must have a good academic record, show leadership abilities, demonstrate financial need, have good moral character and be a Texas resident.
Joy Gallant Archer Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students who do not qualify for awards based solely on academic achievements or those based solely on financial need. Recipients must be full-time students with a GPA of 2.75 and demonstrate financial need through FAFSA.
Joy Terry Scholarship
This scholarship will be given students taking and passing a second semester freshman chemistry course through a senior level chemistry course. Recipients must need text book money or scholarship and show interest in chemistry although not necessary to major in the field.
Judy and Gary Jones Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association who is a full-time student in good standing with the University. The recipient must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher and must enter at least the minimum number of NIRA rodeos in the Southwest Region during the year. This scholarship will be given to students majoring in the engineering program that are members of the Tarleton Corps of Cadets.
June Shannon Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduates of any high school in Erath, San Saba, Brown, Coleman, or Callahan Counties. Recipients must have a solid work ethic and a record of active participation in extra-curricular activities if physically able to do so. First-time freshmen must have maintained a cumulative 3.0 GPA in high school.
JV & Lillie Ruth Laird Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in an agricultural field with horticulture being preferred. The recipient must also have high academic achievement and participation as required by the selection committee.
JW & AE Bright Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students who, with their parent(s) are residents of Runnels County. Recipients must show financial need and major in agriculture, education or music. Recipients must also graduate in the upper quartile of their high school class and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or above for all college work attempted. If no eligible applicant from Runnels County then students from the following counties can be considered: Taylor, Coleman, Concho, Tom Green, Coke, or Nolan County.
Kacee Bradley Top Hand Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, undergraduate student working toward a degree with a 2.5 grade point average and in good standing with the university and the NIRA. The recipient must participate on the Tarleton State University Rodeo Team.
Kathleen Montgomery Memorial Nursing Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in nursing that have been admitted to the Tarleton Nursing Program.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in mathematics with financial need.

This scholarship will be given to students who have completed a minimum of 30 hours at Tarleton State University, majoring in chemistry, and have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Preference will be given to non-pre-health profession students.

This scholarship will be given to a student employed by the Tarleton Dining Service provider.
Kenneth Evatt Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to one female and one male participant on the Tarleton State University Rodeo Team.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time Tarleton rodeo student. The recipient must demonstrate financial need, and maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average. First preference will be given to a student participating in roping.

This scholarship will be given to deserving students in good standing with the university. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Lambda Chi Alpha Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student, with sophomore or above classification status, who is an initiated brother of Lambda Chi Alpha. The recipient must be in Lambda Chi Alpha for at least one semester and have overall involvement with Phi Rho Zeta for one year. Overall activity within Phi Rho Zeta/Lambda Chi Alpha, Tarleton State University and the local community strongly considered. The scholarship will be awarded as $250 per year/non-renewing.

This scholarship will be given to an undergraduate, business major with financial need.
Latinas In Progress Scholarship
This schoalrship will be given to admitted, incoming freshman who complete the requirements for the Latinas in Progress leadership program through the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas, exhibiting leadership skills and experience. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be a Texas resident.
Lauren Green Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a returning member of the marching band and a concert ensemble in the spring semester with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. The recipient must be at least a part-time student who radiates positive energy throughout the marching band at Tarleton State University.
Lee E. Terry Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in human sciences or family consumer sciences (now child development and family studies) at Tarleton State University. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 or higher overall GPA and 3.0 or higher GPA in human sciences.
Lee Law Firm Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time, first-year student with less than 15 credit hours. The recipient must demonstrate financial need but not be PELL eligible.
Lee Wayne Wheeler Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in agriculture with demonstrated financial need but isn't PELL eligible. Preference will be given to a student who hasn't received other scholarship funding.
Leon & Shirley Manley Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate or graduate students in the College of Education or those working toward teacher certification with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Recipients must have graduated from a Texas high school and must submit a paragraph describing ways in which he/she has served in their community through volunteerism.
Leon B. Stinson Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the area of engineering. If no suitable students are available, the recipient may be pursuing a degree in the area of agriculture. The recipient shall be a freshman student with preference being given to those students who wish to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering (if offered at Tarleton State University).

This scholarship will be given to an art major. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA, a 3.0 GPA in art courses and satisfactory progress in studio.
Lewis and Ina Newton Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to graduates of Cross Plains High School who have been granted full admission to Tarleton State University, as a first preference. Recipients must have a declared major in Agriculture, Education, or Engineering. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average. If no qualified applicants from Cross Plains High School, the scholarship will be open to any fully admitted Tarleton State University students.

This scholarship will be given to an incoming freshman member in the Tarleton State University Corpts of Cadets located in Stephenville, Texas pursuing a degree and in good standing. Preference will be given to a cadet who has received an Army ROTC (Three-year Advanced Designee) or an Air Force ROTC (Type 2 or Type7) Scholarship.
Linda Duncan Honorary Counseling Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a graduate counseling major who has full admittance to the Counseling Program, a graduate GPA of 3.5 or higher and has completed at least 24 semester hours of counseling courses at Tarleton State University.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in communications with journalism as a support area. The recipient must demonstrate an interest in photography and/or sports writing, have sophomore or above classification status and maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA.

This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student planning to receive certification to teach in public schools.
Mary Frances Morgan Education Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time or part-time students in the College of Education in good standing with the University. First preference will be given to students from De Leon, Texas and second preference will be given to non-traditional students.
Mary Jane Mingus Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a theatre major who shows interest in the technical side of theatre, this would include costumes, lighting, sound, and/or set design. The recipient should not be an actor/actress only. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA in all theatre courses taken and an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher in all college work.
Math Club Scholarship
Half of this scholarship will be given to a full-time undergraduate mathematics major with an overall GPA of 2.5 and a 3.0 GPA in mathematics course work. The recipient must have completed math 2094 and 12 hours at Tarleton State University. The other half of the scholarship will be given in the spring to a student that meets the following requirements: 1) graduated from high school in the calendar year prior to the award semester; 2) completed at least one semester of coursework at TSU as a mathematics major, receiving at least 12 semester hours credit in the semester of enrollment and making a B or better in a mathematics course at the level of Calculus I or higher, and having an institutional GPA of at least 3.0; 3) plan to enroll as a full-time mathematics major in the spring semester of the award.
May Jones Math Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring mathematics with primary consideration given to a high school senior placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the TSU Math Department Invitational Contest.
Mayfield Scholars
This scholarship will be given to full-time, incoming freshman students pursuing a major within the Mayfield College of Engineering at the Stephenville or RELLIS campus. Recipients must be a graduate from Stephenville, Weatherford, Granbury, and Aledo High Schools. A maximum of one new award per school per academic year is allowed. This award is renewable for up to four years and requires good standing. This award can stack above or beyond the President's Guaranteed Scholarship Program.
Mayfield-Dooley Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time, incoming freshman student pursuing a major within the Mayfield College of Engineering at the Stephenville or RELLIS campus. The recipient must be a graduate from Anson High School, in Anson, Texas. Preference will be given to a student with higher financial need. This award is renewable for up to four years and requires good standing. This award can stack above or beyond the President's Guaranteed Scholarship Program.
McKee Jane Smith Endowed Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student of any classification majoring in art. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in art. The recipient will also be selected based on portfolio. Incoming freshmen meeting Tarleton State University admission requirements may also be considered.
Mechanical Engineering Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in mechanical engineering. Incoming students must be ranked in the top half of their high school class and have a New SAT of at least 1080 or ACT of 23 or higher. Current students must maintain a 3.0 current semester and overall grade point average.

This scholarship will be given to a nursing major. This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in music. Recipients must have a 2.50 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in music courses. Vocal emphasis: active member and satisfactory progress in selected vocal ensembles. Instrumental emphasis: active member and satisfactory progress (Fall semester - Marching Band and selected instrumental ensembles; Spring semester - selected ensembles).
Myrtice N. Larson Education Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in elementary education with preference given to students transferring from the University of Texas - Arlington.
Nelson Family Master of Science with a Botany Emphasis Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time graduate student or a graduate assistant taking six hours or more in the Biology MS program and conducting research in a botanically-related topic as part of a master's thesis. Recipients must be enrolled in as many of the following botany related courses as possible: Ecological Plant Physiology, Environmental and Restoration Biology, Herbarium Techniques, Phycology, Plant Taxonomy, Plant Physiology or Plant Pathology.
O. A. Grant History/Government Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in history or government (political science). Recipients must be incoming freshmen who have an SAT total of 1050 (math and verbal) or higher or an ACT composite of 22 or higher, have a B' average in high school and enroll in 15 semester college hours for disbursement . If there are not suitable freshmen, then other history or political science majors can be considered with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Recipients must enroll in 15 hours each long semester.
OC & Allene Knox Cook Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students graduating from Hico, Panther Creek or Evant High Schools. Recipients must be deserving students with high academics who demonstrate leadership abilities in school and in the community and have good moral character.

Otho & Ellen Phillips Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in a field of agriculture with preference given to students whose parents are non-college degree holders. Recipients must be a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen, demonstrate financial need, have a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 and have completed 30 semester hours at TSU. Recipients should be from Comanche, Brown & contiguous counties within the north-central part of Texas. Contiguous counties include: Erath, Bosque, Eastland, Hamilton, Mills, Coleman, San Saba, McCullouch, and Callahan Counties.
Ouita Griffin Memorial Scholarships
This scholarship will be given to junior and senior accounting majors with a 2.0 or higher grade point average.
Parents Association Scholarship
This scholarship will given to students whose family is enrolled in the TSU Parents Association. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible.
Patricia Cude CIS Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in computer information systems or a related field with a 3.5 grade point average. Students majoring in economics will be given second preference.
Patricia Egdorf Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in nursing based on academics, need and service to school, fellow students and community. Recipients must be fourth semester nursing students with sophomore or above status demonstrating financial need. Recipients must be envisioned as givers. This scholarship is awarded near the end of NURS 2306 or the beginning of NURS 2406.
Patty Smith Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student of junior or senior classification majoring in accounting with at least 9 hours of accounting coursework completed at TSU. The recipient must be a Texas resident, have a grade point average of at least 3.2 in courses in the major field of accounting and show financial need.

This scholarship will be given to an undergraduate, first-generation college student studying in the College of Business. Paul & Opal Cunyus Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in fine arts, education and/or horticulture. Freshman recipients must demonstrate financial need, be accepted to Tarleton, and have passed all parts of the TASP (now TSI) test. Upper division recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, show financial need, demonstrate participation in leadership training and extra curricular activities.

This scholarship will be given to full-time students of at least sophomore status who are residents of the State of Texas pursuing a bachelor degree. Recipients selected based on financial need and academic record.

This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in computer information systems (CIS). The recipient must have completed at least 12 hours in CIS courses if an undergraduate student or 6 hours in CIS if a graduate student. This scholarship will be given to community college transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa . Recipients must have an associate degree or 60 transferable hours with a 3.0 overall GPA for all transfer work. Recipients must enroll full-time, have undergraduate status and maintain a 3.0 overall and semester GPA.

This scholarship will be given to students majoring in hydrology (environmental engineering).
Piano Performance Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time music majors (piano concentration). Recipients must enroll in applied piano lessons, piano ensemble (if required by piano professor), maintain a 3.0 GPA in all music courses and a 2.5 GPA overall. The recipient must also be active in appropriate department performance opportunities.
Pineapple Games Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a junior or senior students with a 2.25 or higher grade point average involved in two or more of the following: Student Government, Greek Life, Student Athlete, Student Athletic Trainers, Tarleton Transition Mentor, or Duck Camp Leader.

This scholarship will be given to a graduate of Hico High School. The recipient must have a good academic record, demonstrate leadership abilities in the school and the community, have good moral character, maintain a 2.5 GPA, and display satisfactory citizenship.

Presidential Academic Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving undergraduate students. Incoming freshmen must be ranked in the top quarter of their high school class (if the high school ranks) or have high holistic review scores. Recipients must maintain a 3.00 overall and Tarleton GPA and maintain and complete full-time student status.
Presidential Honors Program Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding incoming freshmen (or transfer students in some cases) that have been accepted into the Presidential Honors Program. Recipients must be beginning freshmen at Tarleton State University, have a class rank of top 10% (generally), an ACT 27 or higher or a New SAT of 1260 or higher (math and verbal combined), participate or have participated in honors program, advanced placement and/or gifted and talented. Presidential Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving full-time students demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities. Incoming freshmen have high school top quarter ranking (for schools that rank) or high holistic review scores. Recipients must maintain an overall and semester GPA of 2.75.
Presidential Need Based Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate, first degree seeking students demonstrating financial need as indicated by FASFA who are Texas residents. New freshmen or new transfer students must meet admissions standards. Recipients must maintain a 2.4 semester GPA and overall Tarleton GPA and maintain and complete full-time student status. Special consideration will be given to first generation university students.
Presidential Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding rodeo activities participants. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or a 2.0 GPA in the last long semester and must attempt full-time enrollment as required by the NIRA. Recipients must be academically eligible to compete in college rodeos to keep the scholarship, attend and take part in all fundraisers and compete in all regional rodeos and the College National Finals Rodeo (when qualified). President's Circle Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to deserving full-time students. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA and be able to attend President's Circle receptions, as requested.
President's Texan Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding incoming freshmen who receive admission to Tarleton State University by January 15th and show outstanding academic ability through their high school class rank and entrance examinations. This scholarship will be given to a Tarleton psychology major with a Tarleton overall grade point average of 3.5 and a Tarleton psychology grade point average of 3.75. This scholarship will be given to a student showing superior ability and performance in campus publications majoring in communications. This scholarship is to be used for the promotion of journalistic ability.

This scholarship will be given to students based on the ability to rodeo competitively. Recipients must be accepted to TSU, attempt 12 semester hours each long semester, maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA or last long semester GPA and must be eligible to compete in NIRA rodeos.

This scholarship will be given to non-traditional students demonstrating financial need who demonstrate satisfactory academic progress. Recipients must enroll in at least six undergraduate credit hours. An incoming freshman must meet TSU admission requirements to be eligible for the award.

This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate students with preference given to students who are graduates of a Bosque County High School and/or Hico High School who demonstrate strong leadership skills. Sam McInnis Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded at the end of the spring semester to the outstanding chemistry major that completed second semester freshman chemistry (CHEM 1084) at Tarleton that spring, previous fall or previous summer. In the event the chemistry program no longer exists at Tarleton State University, the scholarship will become available to all majors equally.
San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in agriculture (horse production and management emphasis preferred) who are U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen and Texas residents. Recipients must be full-time students with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students receiving this scholarship must receive no other support from San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Schoonmaker Family Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students that have a family member who graduated from Tarleton State University. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Students must submit a one-page essay explaining why they are applying for this scholarship.
Scott Riola Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students with a 3.5 or higher grade point average. First preference will be given to members of the Tarleton Meats Judging Team and second preference will be given to nursing majors.
Scott Summy Pre-Law Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in legal studies, political science with emphasis in legal studies, and/or international studies with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Incoming freshmen must finish in the top 25 percent of their high school class and have an ACT score of 23 or higher or an SAT score of 1080. Recipients must enroll in fifteen hours per long semester.
Second Chance Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to non-traditional students who are single parents with custody of a child or children demonstrating financial need.
Sgt. Steven Watts Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student enrolled in CRIJ 4331. This scholarship will only be awarded to one student each long semester. The amount of the scholarship should be $1,000 per long semester. First preference given to students who graduated from a school in Erath County.

This scholarship will be given to a full-time, first-generation student majoring in any area within the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA.

This scholarship will be given to students majoring in theatre. Recipients must be an active member in departmental productions, attend all strike calls for all productions, maintain a 3.0 GPA in all theatre courses, and a 2.50 overall GPA.

Stanley G. and Mary Ann Westbrook Endowed Scholarship
The scholarship will be given to an agriculture major with a 2.5 grade point average. The recipient must be a sophomore for initial consideration and may be re-awarded until graduation. Preference will be given to an Erath County student with secondary consideration given to any Texas student. The recipient must demonstrate leadership in extracurricular activities with preference given to students who are members of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority or any University related fraternity. The recipient must also demonstrate financial need.

Stephenville Study Club Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a graduate of Stephenville High School, and a graduate from an Erath County High School (pending funding) enrolled as an incoming freshman. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, enroll as a full-time student and maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.

Sue Carlson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in a medical related field with a grade point average of at least 2.5 from either Erath or Bosque Counties. Serious consideration will be given to an applicant who has/had cancer or has/had an immediate family member (parent or sibling) who has/had cancer, if known.
Sue McGinity Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an undergraduate student majoring in English.
Sue Medlen Piano Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in music (piano). Recipients must have a 2.8 overall GPA, a 3.0 GPA in music courses, a successful piano audition, remain enrolled in applied piano lessons, enroll in piano ensemble (if required by the piano professor), and maintain an exemplary attendance and participation record in music classes and music major requirements.

This scholarship will be given to first generation, incoming freshmen with an SAT of 1080 or higher (math and verbal) or ACT of 23 or higher composite. Recipients must demonstrate financial need but must not be PELL eligible and maintain a 2.75 overall GPA for the spring disbursement.

This scholarship will be given to full-time students, in good standing with the university, from Stephenville, Texas majoring in biological sciences with a 3.0 GPA. If a student from Stephenville, Texas, does not meet the above criteria, a student from Erath County, Texas, may be considered.

This scholarship will be given to junior, senior, or graduate level students majoring in education from Hood County, Texas. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 or higher grade point average. Second preference will be given to students meeting these requirements from any county in the State of Texas.

This scholarship will be given to students majoring in mathematics with a minimum Tarleton grade point average of 2.75 or higher. Preference will be given to students focusing on high performance computing. The scholarship award will be for the fall of each academic year only.

Tarleton Parents Association Scholarship
This scholarship will given to students whose family is enrolled in the TSU Parents Association with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Graduate and undergraduate students are eligible. Recipients must write a 300 word essay one of the following topics: How has Tarleton impacted you to make a difference in the world and your family? or Why did you choose Tarleton, and if you are a first generation college student, how do you think it will impact your family?
Tarleton Pride Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding undergraduate, Texas resident students at Tarleton State University who demonstrate financial need. Recipients must maintain a 3.00 overall GPA, demonstrate financial need and maintain full-time student status. Incoming freshmen must demonstrate financial need, typically have top quarter ranking (or equivalent for schools that don't rank) or have a high holistic review score.
Tarleton Professional Educators Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student admitted to the teacher education program. The recipient must be seeking initial certification through traditional coursework, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and express interest in teaching. Preference will be given to an active member of the Tarleton Professional Educators Association.
Tarleton State University Distinguished Alumni Chapter Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to full-time students in good standing with the University. Recipients must have earned a minimum of 60 semester credit hours with a minimum of 12 semester credit hours at Tarleton State University.
Tarleton Waco Diplomat 'Imbued with Spirit' Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a member of the Tarleton State University - Waco Diplomats that is in good standing with the University and the organization and is enrolled in at least three hours at Tarleton State University - Waco. Recipients are required to write an additional essay explaining their educational and career goals; how the scoharship will help achieve these goals; how the recipient exemplifies Tarleton's Core Values; percentage of attendance at Diplomat sponsored events; and percentage of partcipation in approved Diplomat community service events.
TC Joel P. Humphries Devious Minds Club Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student whose major is in the Department of Government, Legal Studies and Philosophy. First preference will be given members of the Texan Corps of Cadets.
Terry and Alyce Price Choral Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate students with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. Recipients must participate in a minimum of one choral ensemble per semester during the fall/spring semesters of the academic year.
Terry and Patti Miller Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a sophomore with a 2.5 or higher grade point average. The recipient shall be a sophomore the first year of the award. If the recipient reapplies for scholarships and meets this scholarship's criteria, the recipient will be awarded this scholarship again for the maximum of three years total. If the scholarship recipient is not eligible for the scholarship during the next three renewal periods, the scholarship committee will select a recipient that has the same classification that the original recipient would have been for that award cycle. The scholarship shall be $1,000 each academic year.
Texan Sports Medicine Association Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in the Athletic Trainers Program.
Texas Pioneer Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student from the state of Texas in good standing with the university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Texas Ranger Law Enforcement Association Criminal Justice Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students, majoring in criminal justice, who are in good standing with the university.
Texas Seed Trade Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in soil and crop sciences or a closely related agricultural field who is a Texas resident. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA.
Texas Seed Trade Association/American Seed Trade Association Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in soil and crop sciences or a closely related agricultural field who is a Texas resident. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA.
The Bragg Family Scholarship; In Honor of Jori Bragg
This scholarship will be given to deserving students majoring in electrical engineering (first-preference) or industrial technology. Recipients must maintain full-time student status and a 2.75 grade point average.
The First National Bank of Evant Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in any academic area offered by the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business. Recipients must have an interest in working in the banking industry. First preference shall be for students form Coryell or Hamilton counties. Second preference shall be for students from Bosque, McLennan, Bell, Lampasas, or Mills Counties.
The First National Bank of Granbury Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students in good standing with the University demonstrating financial need and majoring in an area of business. First preference is to a student from Hood County or the surrounding counties of Parker, Somervell, and Johnson. Recipients should have an affinity to First National Bank of Granbury, as a preference.
Thormann Scholarship in Nursing
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in nursing who demonstrates financial need. First priority will be given to LVNs; however, if there are no LVNs in the Nursing Program second priority will be given to students from Erath or Hood Counties. Scholarship award will be based on total personality, financial need, academic successes, and genuine desire to help his/her fellow man.
Tony and Gina Gaither Memorial Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students who have recently served in a leadership position of the Girl Scouts of America. Second preference will be given to non-traditional students.
Top Academic Partner Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to transfer students with an associate degree or 60 transferable hours who have an overall GPA of 3.0. Recipients must maintain full-time student status and a 3.0 overall and semester GPA. First priority will be given to Phi Theta Kappa members transferring from our TAP (Top Academic Partner) community colleges.
Town & Country Bank Dublin High School Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a recent Dublin High School graduate who is ranked in the top quarter of the graduating class on the recommended or distinguished degree plan. The recipients must demonstrate academic success and leadership abilities.
Trailblazer Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students graduating from a high school listed currently or previously on HB 2550. Priority will be given to first generation students with financial need as a preference. This scholarship is a one-time only award. Recipients must maintain and complete full-time student status and a 2.4 overall grade point average.
Transfer Sprint Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to outstanding transfer students with less than 60 transferable hours with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Recipients must maintain and complete full-time enrollment and maintain undergraduate status. This scholarship is renewable for three years.
Trenzio D. Turner Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to first-generation, full-time students classified as sophomores, juniors or seniors with a 2.75 grade point average.
Truby Glasscock Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time undergraduate students who graduate from Troy High School (1st preference) or a high school in Temple, Texas (2nd preference). Recipients must show financial need and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Truman T. Bell Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to an undergraduate student majoring in math and/or science preparing to become a teacher.
TSU Foundation, Inc. Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate students demonstrating academic merit. Recipients must maintain full-time student status and a 3.0 GPA.
TSU Meats Team Alumni Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to current Meats Team members (as certified by the team coach) who are in good standing at Tarleton State University.
TSU Middle School Math Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a deserving interdisciplinary studies major with middle school math certification. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and be a member of TEAM (Tarleton Educators for the Advancement of Mathematics).
TX Association of Agricultural Consultants Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student majoring in a crop science, entomology, or integrated pest management major with a demonstrated interest in production agriculture. The recipient must have junior or senior level status, demonstrate financial need, be a Texas resident, and maintain a 2.75 overall GPA.
ULTRA Fine Arts Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students majoring in one of the Fine Arts Programs: Music, Art, Digital Media, Theatre, or Fashion Studies with a 2.75 overall grade point average and a 3.0 grade point average in their discipline. Recipients must be available to attend ULTRA Club events such as the ULTRA Club Dinner/Theatre, the Big Band Dance and Gallery receptions to meet and greet ULTRA Club members. Recipients must also be available for pictures and other media to help promote the ULTRA Club.
Uta Davis (TSU Campus Club) Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time junior or senior student maintaining an overall 3.0 or higher grade point average.
Vance and Violet Terrell Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student a pursuing a degree in nursing with financial need and good academic performance.
Virginia Powell Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student who demonstrates good moral character, financial need, and leadership abilities in the school and community. The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA and must not be on academic or disciplinary probation of any type currently or previously at TSU. First preference will be given to those students from the Selden community with next consideration given to students from Erath County. Recipient must be a Texas resident and a U.S. resident, U.S. Permanent resident, or eligible noncitizen.
Visual Art Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in art with satisfactory progress in studio. Recipients must a 2.50 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in all art courses. No more than three absences per semester from art classes are allowed.
W J Wisdom Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in physical education (kinesiology).
W.A. Hail Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to junior or senior level students majoring in criminal justice and/or related field. The recipient must have the intent to pursue a career in law enforcement (highway patrol, Texas Ranger, police office, FBI, etc. and be in good standing.
W.H. & J.M. Sheffield Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to one female and one male full-time undergraduate student based on academic merit.
W.L. & Barbara Nix Erath County Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate students who graduated from any high school in Erath County demonstrating financial need. In addition, recipients must demonstrate a strong desire and commitment to pursue a college degree, have work experience and a record of active participation in extra-curricular activities, if physically able to do so. Former recipients must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA and maintain full-time student status.
W.L. & Barbara Nix Mills County Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate students who graduated from any high school in Mills County demonstrating financial need. In addition, recipients must demonstrate a strong desire and commitment to pursue a college degree, have work experience and a record of active participation in extra-curricular activities, if physically able to do so. Former recipients must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA and maintain full-time student status.
Waco Outreach Campus Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students enrolled at the Tarleton State University - Waco outreach location. Recipients must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Walter and Sara George Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a graduating senior of a Coleman County High School who is majoring in education with a goal to pursue a career in teaching. The recipient must show financial need, be involved in extracurricular activities, and have satisfactory academic grades. If there is not a graduating senior enrolling at Tarleton State University who meets the criteria, a Coleman County student who meets the criteria who is currently enrolled may be awarded the scholarship.
Walter Rode Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students who are current or immediate previous season members of the meats judging team. Selections will be based on individual performance, team engagement and leadership, and willingness to invest time in the meats judging team. Scholarships will be a minimum of $500/student/year and a maximum $1,000/student/year.
Wanda and Lee Solley Memorial Elementary Education Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a junior or senior elementary education major with financial need.
Wanda and Lee Solley Memorial ROTC Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship will be given to a junior or senior Tarleton ROTC Cadet with financial need.
Washington D.C. Internship Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student who is serving as a Washington D.C. intern. The recipient must enroll in at least 1 hour of course credit during the internship and have at least 60 or more college credit hours. The recipient must also work full-time at his/her assigned position; submit a digital work portfolio to the program coordinator with copies of at least four letters, press releases, memos, or other written assignments etc. completed during the internship; submit a minimum of two pictures of the D.C. experience, in and out of the worksite; turn in digital copies of any papers/portfolios or other course credit assignments; write a thank you letter to benefactor (if any) and submit a copy to program coordinator; and complete evaluation of the experience. The recipient must also, upon returning to Tarleton, participate in a minimum of two recruiting events, from career days to speaking to classes, during the next recruiting cycle; complete all papers, portfolios and other documentation as required for academic credit; attend all meetings, special speaker events, luncheons, and dinners unless special permission to miss is granted by the program coordinator; respond to all inquiries and requests from the program coordinator or other TSU administrative staff.
Wichita Farm & Ranch Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a student majoring in an agricultural field of study at Tarleton State University. The recipient must enroll as a full-time student, be a senior level student with at least 30 hours completed at Tarleton State University and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Selection will be based scholarship, achievement, character and need. Preference will be given to students from the Wichita Falls trade territory.
William Edwin Dyess Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a second year student who has proven worthy during their first year at Tarleton.
Willie & Eve Tate Family Agriculture Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in agriculture with teacher certification. Recipients must show financial need, maintain full-time student status or 6 semester hours for non-traditional students, and maintain a 2.75 GPA. High school graduates must meet requirements for "regular" admissions and demonstrate scholastic ability.

This scholarship will be given to students majoring in fine arts with certification. Willis-Gordon Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full- time student with sophomore or above status showing financial need. The recipient must maintain a 2.80 GPA.
Winnie McAnelly Fiedler Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to students majoring in history or other social sciences areas. Undergraduate students must enroll in 15 hours and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Graduate students must enroll in 12 hours and maintain a 3.5 GPA. First preference will be given to students graduating from Mineral Wells, Gustine and Brady High Schools.
WO Trogdon Endowed Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student with at least sophomore classification who has a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Wyatt Family Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students who graduate from Glen Rose High School. Recipients must be first-generation college students and remain in good standing with the University. Recipients must live in University housing.
Zeddie C. & Ruby Edgar Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to undergraduate students majoring in business. Recipients must demonstrate academic merit, have financial need and maintain a 3.0 overall GPA. The selection committee may also consider test scores, student essays, and number of hours completed.
Zonta - Juanita Dixon Single Parent Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to full-time students seeking a degree who are single heads of household (single parents) demonstrating financial need. Recipients must have a 2.6 or higher overall GPA.
Zonta-Loy Patton Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to a full-time student admitted to the Nursing Program, seeking a BSN degree, preferably from the Erath County area. The recipient must have a 2.6 overall GPA.
Zunker Family Scholarship
This scholarship will be given to first-generation, incoming freshmen for the initial award. Recipients must major in any degree program offered by the College of Science and Mathematics or the Mayfield College of Engineering (STEM majors) and remain in good standing. If the recipient reapplies for scholarships and meets this scholarship's criteria, the recipient will be awarded this scholarship again for the maximum of four years total. If the scholarship recipient is not eligible for the scholarship during the next three renewal periods, the scholarship committee will select a recipient that has the same classification that the original recipient would have been for that award cycle. The scholarship shall be $2,500 each academic year.
